About this spot
SurfinGR documents the beach beside the fishermen's harbour as a kite and windsurf spot, reporting north-west as the predominant side-onshore wind with south-east, west and north-west as best directions, riding year-round with June to August best, a general 10–20 knots, and a summer south-east thermal and venturi of 8–13 knots — sometimes 14–18, occasionally 20 — between roughly 13:00 and 20:00, while warning that the wind is unsteady and genuinely kiteable periods may last only one or two hours. The municipality's own beach page lists kitesurfing at Angelochori, and the official tourism page places kite and windsurfing on the coast adjoining the harbour.
That same tourism page identifies the lagoon immediately inland as a Natura 2000 protected wetland, and a second guide instead describes a lagoon-edge launch with beginner water and an "Ermis Kite" school; the official evidence supports the sea coast, not permission to ride inside the protected lagoon, so only the sea beach is recorded here and no beginner flag is set even though the guide calls the water shallow — it rates riders intermediate and above over sand and rocks. Hazards beyond rocks, the adjacent harbour and some summer bathers are undocumented, and no named kite school is confirmed; the marker is a forecast pin used to locate the independently documented beach.
