About this spot
Kite Jungle lists Blidinje Jezero as the kite spot of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with about 78 days a year above 12 knots — most of them November to April, only about three a month in summer.
The lake is shallow and at altitude, so it is cold and can freeze in winter; it sits inside a nature park, and Kite Jungle reminds riders to check locally whether kiting is allowed.

Needs local verification: Compiled in October 2026 from AllOfBosnia (Buško Lake) and Kite Jungle (Blidinje Jezero). Neither source names a launch beach, and no kite school is listed in the country. Pins are approximate lake positions; launch, access, parking, protected-area (Blidinje Nature Park) rules and depth need on-site confirmation. Water tables are seasonal estimates for upland lakes.
