About this spot

Cabo Ledo is best known as a surf break with a consistent left-hand point on an exposed Atlantic beach; spots.guru notes kitesurfers also ride its strong wind. Kiters have reportedly used the spot since the early 2000s, but the only account of that is an unnamed guesthouse host quoted in a travel blog — treat the kite scene as anecdotal.

The best wind and conditions fall in the June–September dry season, locally called the Cacimbo, per Plizio's guide; Windy.app's spot statistics give the coordinates used for the pin.

No dedicated kite school is confirmed here and no source documents beginner suitability — ride it only if you are already competent in waves and self-sufficient.

Needs local verification: Compiled in October 2026 from the Unplug kitesurf directory (Luanda spot pages and the Duk kite Angola school listing), Kiteforum's Ilha do Mussulo spot page, spots.guru's Angola country page, Windy.app's Cabo Ledo statistics and Plizio's Cabo Ledo guide. No published GPS coordinates for the Ilha de Luanda or Mussulo launches — pins are approximate. Wind-season months conflict between sources (October–April per Kiteforum/Unplug; May–September dry-season trades per spots.guru) — confirm with the school. Duk kite Angola is an independently operating local school; no IKO affiliation confirmed. Needs local verification.
