About this spot
Camp Bay on Roatán's quiet East End is the island's main kite spot: a long natural beach behind the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. Kitesurf Roatan has run its school and lodge right in front of the launch since 2012.
Beginner courses use 4-line kites; afternoon lessons are taught from Camp Bay Beach, while morning sessions go by boat to steadier spots. Trips to St. Helene, Port Royal and the mangroves are for riders who can already go upwind.
The school describes trade winds all year, but its published season dates are outdated — check before booking. Wind directions aren't given in the sources; the sector shown is an estimate.
