About this spot

Unplug explicitly documents Falassarna as a kitesurfing spot and reports wind "usually only in winter and spring with South or Southwest winds", around 4–5 days every month in winter at force 4–7 Beaufort, with water from choppy to very big waves over 3 m. South is sideshore and south-west side-onshore per the same guide; listed best months are January–May and December.

The guide warns that the waves do not break progressively, there is a large shorebreak and few rocks close to the beach, that the summer north wind through the mountains is extremely gusty and offshore, and that in summer kites should be launched next to the harbour because the beach is packed and the wind is offshore. Its generic paragraph praising summer contradicts its own detailed account; the seasonal warning is the operative one. These are guide descriptions, not measured statistics, and no safe operating range is published.
