About this spot
Fuwairit Kite Beach (FKB) sits on a former fishing village's shoreline about an hour north of Doha. The resort's school, run by Discover Qatar, describes one of the world's longest kite seasons — November to July — with side-onshore wind of 15–30 knots and a shallow natural lagoon suited to every level, from twin tip to foil and wing.
Beginner courses run with radio helmets and a rescue craft on the water at all times; there are teaching rooms, storage, showers and Duotone rental. Riders with their own kit pay a day-access fee. The lagoon hosted a GKA world-tour event.
The sources give the wind as side-onshore without naming compass points, so the sector shown here is an estimate — check on site. Summer heat is extreme; ride early or late.
