About this spot

Hayravank Kite Camp is listed on the map as a campground run with Sky Club on Lake Sevan's western shore. A 2015 Kiteforum.pro report describes Sevan's kiting: the lowered lake left wide sandy and pebbly beaches with no trees near the water, mornings are lighter and from midday the wind builds out of the gorges to about 10 m/s, and the first kite school had opened on the lake.

Some beaches have shells underfoot, so wear booties. The lake sits at about 1,900 m, so the water stays cool even in summer.

Needs local verification: Compiled in October 2026 from a 2015 Kiteforum.pro Lake Sevan report, Hayravank Kite Camp's map listing (Sky Club) and Windy.app's Sevan kitespot pin. The 2015 school and rescue-boat details may have changed; current operation, launch, parking and any Sevan National Park rules need on-site confirmation. The water table is a seasonal estimate for a lake at about 1,900 m.
