About this spot
A local Okinawa spot guide calls Kaichu Doro, beside the causeway in Uruma, the island's most popular kiteboarding area and the safest place for beginners, where most kite lessons take place. It works from west-north-west round to east and can be kited at any tide.
Below about 1.4 m of tide a large sandy beach is exposed and launching is easy, with two buoys usable as anchors; at higher tide everyone launches from the grass, where the guide has seen beginners crash kites into the trees — walk the 50 m to the sand when you can.
The water is shallow, so foilers may need to carry gear up to 100 m at low tide; on strong north wind a sandbar to the right can give surfable waves. Several Okinawa schools teach beginners, though the pages we checked don't name this exact beach.

Okinawa schools found (https://kiteclub-okinawa.biz/kiteboard/, https://www.tropicalsurfhouse.com/service-page/kiteboarding-lesson) teach beginners but their pages do not name Kaichu Doro, so the beginner label rests on the spot guide.
