About this spot

Duotone Pro Center Limnos documents a 50–100 m waist-deep standing area with a sandy bottom and beginner kite lessons at Keros, and reports June–November in about 10–24 knots. Surf Club Keros independently documents kite lessons, a cross-shore wind, waist-deep teaching water and its own rescue team. Kiteguide narrows the summer window to June–September in 16–25 knots and calls the far northern flat-water sector offshore, while SurfinGR describes the bay in sectors — flat toward the north, chop centrally, small waves to the south and at the separate wave beach by the bay exit.

Sources disagree on the season and on whether the wind strengthens in the afternoon or is strongest from morning to midday, and the shore-relative angle differs by sector, so one centre's cross-shore description must not be applied to the whole 3 km bay. Rocks sit at the outer ends of the bay, part of the water is offshore, and the surrounding area is a protected ecosystem; the pin is an approximate bay-area marker because no source publishes a launch coordinate for a specific centre.

Needs local verification: Coordinate: OpenStreetMap marker for Keros; several centres occupy different positions along the bay, so this is an approximate bay-area marker. Coordinates are approximate spot markers, not surveyed launch points. Wind safety and operating limits remain unknown; no ride or kite-size advice is issued. Sources confirm only the facts explicitly attributed to them.
