About this spot
Wannakitesurf describes a sandy beach with clean water, a medium 1–2 kn current and no tide dependency. The south-west thermal blows 16–25 kn from May to October, picking up around 11 am and lasting all day, side-onshore. A rescue swimmer on the private beach would launch and land kites (small entry fee).
Let's Kite counts about 320 rideable days a year at Lomé Beach (2024–25). In 2021 two kiters made the first 43 km downwinder from Lomé to Aného.

Needs local verification: Compiled in October 2026 from Wannakitesurf (a first-hand report by a rider who lived in Togo), Let's Kite and Unplug. Unplug lists Lomé Beach as a beginner spot while Wannakitesurf rates it intermediate with daily waves and current, so the level needs on-site confirmation; the beach fee and rescue swimmer are from the older first-hand report.
