About this spot

Kiteforum.com describes Lumley as a very long, big sand beach with chop and small waves, a shallow reef with a breaking wave towards the southern end, and fishing nets to avoid — with plenty of room along the beach to get away from them.

Wind is frontal, best and main direction south-east, mainly in the rainy season July–August, otherwise occasional fronts and light breezes. The beach fills up on Sundays and a busy road runs right behind it.
