About this spot

Pointe Faula at Le Vauclin is home to Airfly, Martinique Kiteschool (FFVL-labelled) and the Club Nautique du Vauclin. Airfly teaches by boat on the Massy Massy shallows, where riders can stand over most of the school zone; a coral barrier offshore keeps the water flat.

The schools put the trades at 12–20 knots from the east, mainly November to May and sometimes into June or July. Martinique Kiteschool opens October to June.

Navigation here is regulated by a prefectural order: buoys mark a buffer zone, a swimming zone and a nautical-activity lane, and kiting is only allowed to the right of the buffer zone. French rules also require civil liability insurance for kitesurfing — an FFVL or FFV licence covers it.
