About this spot
Sakalava Bay, east of Diego Suarez at Madagascar's northern tip, catches the Varatraza — a strong south-east trade wind that blows almost daily from about April to November. The wind is side-onshore and the bay has flat-to-choppy water inside and waves on the reef further out.
Kite camps and schools work on the beach. The wind is often strong, so bring smaller kites; the area is remote, so medical help is far away.

Access, boat transfers and school operations change, so everything here needs confirming locally; coordinates are approximate, not verified launch points. No verified live webcam was found, so the camera links open Windy's webcam search instead of a local feed.
