About this spot

Guláška is the spot Slovak riders write about most — it has the longest review thread on windsurf.sk and sits near the top of every Slovak spot list. It is a flooded gravel pit beside Senec's Slnečné jazerá (Sunny Lakes), so it is compact and open to the flat Danube lowland winds.

Small lake means short tacks and a crowded launch on good days; riders need to be able to stay upwind and land without help.

Amenities

  • Sunny Lakes resort services in Senec

Needs local verification: Compiled in October 2026 from windsurf.sk's community spot register, Spotkitesurf's Slovak spot list, Slovakia.travel's kiting page and Slovak school pages (Kite Ride). Kite Ride itself writes that Slovak lakes are poor for learning and runs its courses in Hungary — so no Slovak spot carries a beginner label. Pins are approximate, wind windows are my reading of each shoreline, and bathing-zone, fishing and fee rules need checking on site. Water temperature is a seasonal lake estimate; the marine model has no inland data.

Local hazards

  • Small water — little room for mistakes
  • Bathers and other water users in summer
  • Deep water near the bank
