About this spot

Sint Joris Bay (Sint Joris Baai) is a large, sheltered bay on Curaçao's windward east coast, a short drive from Willemstad. The easterly trade wind blows onshore into the bay on most days, strongest from about April to August, over shallow, mostly flat water.

Onshore wind and standing depth make it the island's teaching spot, and the schools run lessons and rental here. Watch for sharp coral, rocks and sea urchins in places — wear booties — and keep an eye on the bay's mangrove and rocky edges downwind.

Needs local verification: Compiled in October 2026 from independent spot guides and the Curaçao kite schools' general descriptions. Access roads, launch zones and school locations change, so everything here needs confirming on site; coordinates are approximate, not a verified launch point. No verified live webcam was found, so the camera links open Windy's webcam search instead of a local feed.
