SurfinGR's spot guide lists kitesurfing at Vourvourou and names north, north-west and south as its best directions, describing north to north-east for much of the year at about 4 Bft in the morning when the Aegean is strong and southerlies mainly in summer, with all twelve months marked as rideable and 11–16 knots; the same page describes flat, shallow water that lets you walk a long way out and warns explicitly about swimmers.
The beginner flag here rests only on that documented water — flat, shallow and walkable — not on tuition: the operator at the bay advertises windsurfing, wingfoiling, sailing, SUP, surfing and kayaking but not kitesurfing, and no kite school is confirmed. A second guide contradicts the first on nearly every point (north/north-west meltemi, June–September, 12–20 knots, cross-onshore, an "Ermis Wind" school, a position between Sithonia and Kassandra and a coordinate about 1.5 km away), so neither its wind geometry nor its school claim is adopted, and the marker stays a forecast pin rather than a surveyed launch.
