About this spot
SurfinGR lists windsurfing, kitesurfing and SUP at Agiokampos, publishes its own GPS pin for the beach, and describes flat and choppy water over sand with an average depth that "deepens very gently", reached by road or ferry; the Kite and Windsurfing Guide's passage for the same port says the wind is "a lot lighter up here, and only boosted to planing levels in the strait between island and mainland", adding that the drive north is worth it more for the scenery than the conditions.
"Only viable northern spot" is that guide's own wording and is not adopted as a rule — the same guide ecosystem documents Pefki on the same coast — and no beginner flag is set here even though SurfinGR calls the beach suitable "from beginner to expert" and Kiteforum labels all levels, because gently deepening flat and choppy water is not a documented shallow, flat area you can walk far into. No compass direction, knot range or wind-season month is published for this launch, and no school is established at it: Unplug's "Best Schools in Athens" list is not local-school evidence. Beware the name trap — Kiteforum also holds a separate Agiokambos entry for the Larissa coast in Thessaly, whose 20 km sandy shore, winter season and rescue details do not belong to this Evia beach.
Sources
- SurfinGR — Agiokampos
Explicit kite use, published GPS, flat and choppy water over gently deepening sand, small sand-and-pebble beach with many bathers June–August, road and ferry access.
- Kite and Windsurfing Guide — Agiokampos
The recovered descriptive passage: lighter wind up here, only boosted to planing levels in the island–mainland strait.
- Unplug Kitesurf — Evvoia/Agiokambos
Kite directory listing with flat/chop and all-level labels; its live map link publishes the alternative coordinate.
- Kiteforum — Evvoia Agiokambos
Evia-specific kite entry: car access, short walk, parking, flat/chop; its "Rules: None" field is not current legal confirmation.
- SurfinGR — Pefki
Documents kite use at Pefki on the same coast, countering any literal island-wide reading of "only viable northern spot".

Access & parking
Named beach only; current launch boundaries, permissions and access restrictions need local confirmation.
Parking: Not verified
Amenities
- No kite school or club documented at this launch
Needs local verification: Coordinate: GPS published by SurfinGR for the beach; Unplug's own map link gives 38.9239, 23.0323 a couple of hundred metres away — neither is a surveyed rigging boundary. Coordinates are approximate spot markers, not surveyed launch points. Wind safety and operating limits remain unknown; no ride or kite-size advice is issued. Sources confirm only the facts explicitly attributed to them.
Local hazards
