About this spot
Sainte-Anne Kitesurf School teaches kitesurfing, wingfoil and kitefoil in the Anse du Belley lagoon, where Bois Jolan beach begins, and says it has been teaching there since 1999 with state-certified instructors and radio coaching.
The south coast of Grande-Terre gets the same east to east-south-east trade as Saint-François, about 12–20 knots from December to July, and an offshore reef keeps the inside flat and very shallow over sand and seagrass.
Seagrass beds are protected habitat in the French Antilles — follow the school's zone and don't drag gear across them.
