About this spot
Bluesoley teaches kitesurfing from the nautical base on the Saint-François lagoon with a state-certified instructor, and an FFVL-labelled school teaches beginners here in open water — a method adopted because the beaches lack space. The trades blow east to east-south-east at about 12–20 knots, December to July.
A reef keeps the inside flat and shallow on sand and seagrass, with swell and bigger waves outside. For independent riders the launch is tight: sailboats anchored about 50 m off and a narrow beach make the first tacks awkward, and one guide rates it intermediate to advanced without a school.
French rules require civil liability insurance for kitesurfing; the schools can arrange it.
