About this spot
Bwejuu lies just north of Paje on the same long reef lagoon, and riders often use it for space when Paje is busy or as one end of a lagoon downwinder between the two villages, depending on the monsoon direction.
Conditions mirror Paje — shallow warm water inside the reef, NE Kaskazi and SE Kusi trade winds, a large tidal range that drains the lagoon at low tide — but with fewer people and fewer services. Seaweed farms are present here too. School cover on this stretch was not confirmed; arrange downwinder pick-ups and rescue through a Paje centre.

Needs local verification: Compiled in October 2026 from independent spot guides and the Paje schools' general descriptions. Launch pins, which school operates where, seaweed-farm positions and tide timings change from season to season, so everything here needs confirming on site and the coordinates are approximate, not verified launch points. School presence and beginner suitability at Jambiani and Bwejuu were not confirmed from a primary source. No verified live webcam was found, so the camera links open Windy's webcam search instead of a local feed.
Local hazards

- Seaweed-farm stakes and lines
- Sea urchins and coral patches
- Fewer people around — arrange rescue and pick-up in advance
