About this spot
Let's Kite documents Issos as a sandy beach rideable from May to September on the thermal wind, facing west with the Maestro (NW/W) arriving side-onshore. The same guide rates the spot intermediate: open water with shore-break waves in the first metres, then chop, a sandy bottom with moderate slope, waves generally 0.5–1.5 m and larger in strong Maestro, more current than Chalikounas, and gusty wind when the direction is very northerly because it passes over the dune.
There is no kite school directly on the beach — the schools are at Chalikounas to the north — and the guide explicitly steers beginners there instead. Launch is from the sandy beach with the dunes giving rigging shelter but launch turbulence; riders should avoid the boat zone and swimming area. Guide wind figures (thermal ~10–12 kn from around 14:00–18:00, weather wind to 20 kn gusts) are source descriptions, not verified operating limits.
