About this spot
Long Beach stretches about 1.5 km on the south-east of Christ Church and, per Upwind Kitesurf School, is fairly deserted with little tourist activity. The wind sits side-on in winter and side-on to onshore in summer — a gentler angle than Silver Rock's winter side-off.
Kiteboarding Barbados names Long Beach and Silver Rock together as the island's ideal kite spots, close to the airport, uncrowded and suited to learners, with 12–25 knot trades at peak times.
Facilities are thin compared with Silver Rock, so bring what you need and check with a school before riding alone.
