About this spot
Rozkoš is two reservoirs, big and small. On the big one, almost every direction can be ridden, though not all equally well. A local writer on kiteboarding.cz rides mostly westerlies here and calls the myth that west is bad at Rozkoš wrong: the hill opposite blocks the wind right at the beach, but 30 m out it blows fully.
For westerly, southerly and north-westerly wind the best launch is the small beach behind Šeřeč village. In spring, when the reservoir refills after winter, the sandy, muddy and stony bottom makes the water clear blue.
The national championship, festival and gear tests have been run on Rozkoš, hosted by Autokemp Rozkoš with the VZS water rescue on duty.

Needs local verification: Compiled in October 2026 from the Czech kiting association (Český svaz kitingu), kiteboarding.cz spot articles, Surfmagazín's Czech spot guide, school pages (Kitesport Lipno, Mushow Kiteschool, HARAKIRI kite kurzy), the South Bohemia tourism board and community spot lists (Kiteforum, Spotkitesurf). Pins are approximate, wind windows are partly my reading of the shoreline, and fishing, camping-fee and bathing-zone rules change by season — they need checking on site. Water temperature is a seasonal reservoir estimate; the marine model has no inland data.
Local hazards
- Wind shadow from the hill right at the beach
- Anglers' lines near the entry — conflicts with fishermen are reported
- Stony patches on the bottom
