About this spot

SurfinGR lists kitesurfing at Vrochia and places it 350 m before Agios Vasilios chapel near a small harbour and a nautical club, publishing its own GPS pin, with south and south-east best and north, north-east, south and west also listed; the south-easterly thermal starts at midday and runs into the afternoon, and the guide says the spot works with southern wind and with strong northern wind. The same page records chop and a depth category of shallow water with only "walking several steps not to step on", grass, pebbles and rocks on the beach, summer bathers, and car or taxi access along the road toward Perdika from Aegina port — where the page's own approximate distances disagree (3.5 km, 4.5 km and about 3 km), so all three are kept.

The guide's line that "in the morning its ideal for beginners" is not turned into a beginner flag: the water it documents is choppy with only several walking steps, not a flat, shallow area you can walk far into, and no kite school is established — the nearby nautical club and Aegina Water Sports at Agios Vasilios advertise jet ski, waterski, wakeboard, towables, pedalo and SUP, not kite lessons. "No reefs or other hazards" is the guide's assertion rather than a survey, and no knot range, month-based kite season or current permission is published, so no ride or kite-size advice is issued. myKiteLife separately names Aegina "Ag. Vasileios" with south/south-east, but whether that is this same launch is unresolved, so no second pin is invented.

Sources

  • SurfinGR — Vrochia

Explicit kite activity, full published GPS, S/SE best with N/NE/SE/S/W listed, midday-to-afternoon SE thermal, chop, shallow-with-several-steps depth category, beach grass and rocks, road access with differing distances.

  • myKiteLife — Greek kite spots

Independently lists Aegina "Ag. Vasileios" with S/SE; a related locality lead whose launch is not proven identical to this pin.

  • Aegina Water Sports

Proves a watersports operation at Agios Vasilios — jet ski, waterski, wakeboard, towables, pedalo and SUP — not kite teaching.
