About this spot
Cove Bay on Anguilla's southwest coast is where the island's kiteschool sets up: a broad sandy beach with a cross-onshore southeasterly angle that drifts you back to the sand rather than out to sea.
The bottom is sand, the launch is wide, and small waves build on the outside when swell wraps in from the south. The wind can turn gusty when it crosses the island, which is the main thing to watch here.
