About this spot
Jastarnia lies further along the Hel Peninsula, where the inner Puck Bay is wide and shallow with a sandy bottom. It offers the same flat-water conditions as Chałupy, usually with a little more space, and several kite schools operate here in season — making it another excellent place to learn or to ride freestyle.
As on the rest of the bay side, west, south-west and north-west winds are the safest directions, blowing from the bay towards the shore. South and north run side-shore; east and north-east come from over the peninsula and are offshore. The Jastarnia harbour and fishing boat channel are close by — keep clear of the fairway and moored boats.
The town has shops, cafés and accommodation, plus a train station. Parking is mostly paid in season. Exact school launches and zones should be confirmed locally.
