About this spot
Rewa is known for its narrow sand spit, the Rewa Cypel, which runs out into Puck Bay from the mainland coast. Depending on the wind direction you can ride on one side of the spit in sheltered flat water and on the other in open-bay chop, which is why the spot works in an unusually wide wind window and is a favourite for Tri-City (Gdańsk–Gdynia–Sopot) riders.
Most wind directions can work at one of the launches, but each side must be chosen so the wind blows onshore or side-shore there. South and south-west winds blow off the mainland and are offshore at the main beach — use extra caution. The spit is very shallow and the sandbars shift; at its tip there is a marked shallows route that walkers use, and boats pass in the deeper water around it.
There is parking in the village, cafés and kite schools in season. Because the best launch depends on wind direction, ask locally which side is in use and whether any nature-protection restrictions apply to the spit.
