About this spot
Spots4Kite describes Koronissia as a grass, sand and crushed-shell beach immediately beyond the marina and beside the large car park, worked by a south-west to west to north-west wind that is onshore or nearly onshore, arriving as an afternoon thermal of roughly 13:00 to 19:00 at 10–20 knots. The Nautical Club of Koronisia, including kite contests, is confirmed by the official Arta tourism page, which also states kitesurfing takes place here.
The two sources disagree on the season — the spot guide says late April to early September, the official tourism page early April to late November — and neither publishes a measured walkable training area, so the guide's mention of beginners is not treated as verified standing depth. Sea urchins concealed in weed and shells at the launch are named as hazards, and the sheltered lagoons described nearby are wildlife habitat, not documented riding areas.
