About this spot
Theologos is listed for kitesurfing by Rhodes municipality. The local spot guide describes a long, relatively narrow sand-and-pebble beach about 7 km south of the airport. The standing-depth strip is narrow and there is open-sea swell farther out; kiters and windsurfers normally use separate areas.
Surf & Kite Theologos explicitly offers courses for beginners and advanced riders. Its own website describes the prevailing April–October afternoon wind as sideshore from the south-west, around 20 knots. The local guide describes sideshore to slightly onshore wind without bearings. Only the operator-published south-west sector is rated good here; other directions need local confirmation, not an assumption based on coast orientation.
Beginner suitability refers to organised lessons in appropriate conditions, not shallow water across the bay. Sources: https://www.rhodes.gr/tourist-guide/water-sports/ ; https://kiteandsurfrhodes.com/en/kitesurfing-windsurfing-rhodes/theologos/ ; https://www.surfandkitetheologos.com .
